Labor Day weekend

This-year, just like last year, we went to Ohio for Labor Day to spend some time with Papa Art and Grandma, some family friends and a bunch of cousins.  On the way, we made a brief stop at Cedar Point!  This was the girls' first trip here.  We had a fun time, except for the fact that it was 4,627° outside and we almost melted.  Anyway, on to the pictures... since that's probably all you care about anyway!

Getting ready!

Snoopy love

Dad was so jealous he missed out on the (pink!) monster truck ride.

Tess the Train Engineer

Nora was thrilled to ride the train, effectively putting her more than 2' away from me.  Mama's girl.

As you can see through the bushes, was still pretty pissed halfway through the ride.  That's dedication.

One of a few hundred games we played while at Cedar Point.  We calculated it and determined that we spent about $117 to win $6.50 worth of garbage.  But the thrill of victory... priceless!

Exhibit A

My heart skipped a beat when we came across this one.

Another ride Dad was sad his long legs wouldn't fit into.

You think that we had to skip all the roller coasters, don't you?  Think again!

Bumper boats - our last ride of the day.

Apparently, Nora worked up quite an appetite during the day as well...

After Cedar Point, we headed further south into Ohio to meet up with everyone. We went boating and had a grand time!

Nora's second nap of the afternoon - having fun is strenuous and tiresome.
